WHAT IS THE BASIC STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STARCH AND CELLULOSE ?

STARCH: IT CONSISTS OF AMYLASE AND AMYLOPECTIN AMYLASE IS A LINEAR POLYMER OF L-D GYUCOSE. IN AMYLASE C-1 OF ONE GYUCOSE UNIT IS CONNECTED TO C-4 OF THE OTHER THROUGH L- GLYCOSIDIC LINKAGE

IN CELLULOSE: IT IS A LINEAR POLYMER OF B- GLUCOSE . HOWEVER IN CELLULOSE C - 1 OF ONE GLYCOSE UNIT IS CONNECTED C-4 OF THE OTHER THROUGH B- GLYCOSIDIC LINKAGE
